Four decades of legal expertise
I’ve been a lawyer since 1985, setting up Markit Law in 2003. Over time my role has evolved, and I now act as a trusted advisor to high-performing senior leadership teams.
During my career, I’ve consistently worked in industries in periods of significant change, and have helped key stakeholders to manage high-risk and high-value projects and claims.
I have set out to specialise in major and complex claims. I served as the lead lawyer for successful projects across various fields, from the rail industry and universities to public companies. Notable achievements for me include pioneering the use of plain language in contract law, creating accessible building contracts to enhance customer transparency, and managing New Zealand’s largest-ever insurance claim.
